Electric

We are the first in the UK to launch fully electric heavy freight trucks:

  • 37-tonne, 4x 2 class 1 trucks
  • Run on electricity rather than diesel
  • Designed for heavy freight use of well over 100-mile range before needing to charge
  • Employed first by Tesco on daily freight operations between Cardiff and Magor.
  • Reducing FSEW Greenhouse Gas Emissions (Scope 1 & 2) by 64% which amounts to 87.4 tonnes of CO2e less per annum (for both trucks)

Biomethane fuel

Our commitment to delivering green haulage solutions is also supported by the introduction of biomethane fuel trucks into our fleet:

  • Run 100% renewable biomethane fuel for freight transport use.
  • Biomethane fuel is sourced from waste products including food, animal, and waste water. independently verified and approved by the Department for Transport’s Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO).
  • Switching to biomethane fuel gives more than 85% reduction in CO2 emissions and up to 40% lifetime fuel cost saving from diesel.
