FSEW shortlisted for prestigious national award

2014 is already off to a strong start for FSEW after they were recognised for their environmental excellence at the BIFA Freight Services Awards 2013.

FSEW was a finalist in the Environment Award category, at the event in London which was hosted by TV presenter Julia Bradbury and Sir Peter Bottomley MP.

The prestigious awards recognise the outstanding work that is being done across the freight industry in the UK. FSEW was shortlisted for the steps they have taken to ensure that their environmental offering is second to none.

As well as replacing all its trucks and trailers for vehicles with lower fuel usage and CO² emissions, FSEW has been a pioneer for intermodal transport.

FSEW Managing Director, Geoff Tomlinson, said: "The quality of the other nominees in our category shows the increased emphasis that has been placed on the environment by the freight industry over the past couple of years and we were thrilled to have been shortlisted in such good company.

"We pride ourselves on our environmental offering and will continue to work with our clients to ensure that we deliver the sort of service that they have come to expect."

FSEW, based at the South Wales International Freightliner Terminal in Wentloog, is South Wales' leading independent intermodal freight forwarder providing transport and delivery services world-wide.
