After identifying a gap in the market for a customer orientated freight forwarding company, FSEW was launched by Geoff Tomlinson in July 2002. Using his extensive experience in the freight forwarding business, his goal was for FSEW to provide a prompt, reliable and value-for-money service in the freight industry.
This vision has remained clear and has been central to the company's significant growth and success.
In 2005 FSEW was named the number one fastest growing company in Wales in the Fast Growth 50 and in 2006, it continued its meteoric rise to be named the 11th fastest growing company.
Managing Director , Geoff Tomlinson said: "Our goal has never been to be a 'fast-growth' company. Our goal has been to build strong, reliable partnerships with our clients, suppliers and staff."
Meet the team
Geoff firmly believes that a strong team is at the heart of FSEW's success and below are some of the key players that you are likely to encounter in your day to day dealings with FSEW;
There is also a wider team, working behind the scenes to ensure that FSEW provides all of its customers, big or small, with the most reliable communication, the most responsive service and the best possible transportation provision to meet their business needs.
As one of Wales' most successful companies over the last few years, the Welsh Government selected FSEW to be part of its Knowledge Bank for Business (KB4B), a group with access to the highest levels of consultancy advice, training and support.
This is a prestigious national accolade with only fifty Welsh companies selected and FSEW the only logistics company within that elite group.
The selection shows that the Welsh Government considers FSEW to be one of the most profitable Welsh companies, with the strongest potential for growth. Each K4KB company was selected for their potential to have a substantial impact on the future prosperity of Wales.
The Minister for Economic Development and Transport, Andrew Davies described the KB4B as, "A radical new approach to developing high growth companies in Wales. KB4B will provide tailored support to these businesses with high growth potential, creating a flexible and seamless interface between these companies and resources and expertise from across the public and private sectors."
